Canadian Immigration Pilot Program for Caregivers Announced
Two new immigration programs are going to be tested by the Trudeau government, which will allow caregivers to immigrate to Canada with their families. They will also be offered the opportunity to be permanent residents of the country. The caregivers will have additional flexibility to change job positions quickly if need be. Current laws that prevent caregivers’ family members from relocating with them will be removed, and open work permits will be given to the spouses and common law partners. Study permits will be available for their dependent children. If you are considering relocating to Canada, contact Canada Immigration Express. Their team of immigration experts will walk you through every step of the process.
Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said, “Caregivers provide care to families in Canada that need it, and it’s time for Canada to care for them in return.” He said they would be provided the opportunity to bring their families here and access permanent residency to show Canada’s commitment to them. For all caregivers already relocated to Canada who came after the new law was in effect, the Pathway for Caregivers program is being launched. Several caregivers began working for families only to find out they couldn’t qualify for permanent residence under any existing program. This new program will provide them a chance to stay in the country permanently.
